Job Description Job Overview and Responsibilities: A Senior IT Analyst leverages end user technical expertise to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of the enterprise. This critical technical partner implements established standards and procedures, which support the enterprise's managed infrastructure along with ensuring operational stability. This role is responsible for implementing reliable solutions that maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure as well as meet the customer objectives. This position needs to be able to work effectively as part of a global virtual team to achieve common objectives with IT peers across the global enterprise. Evaluate business requirements and recommend technologies that will enhance availability, reliability, scalability and security, while consistently driving down total cost. Participates in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex platforms (hardware, operating systems, software, systems tools and IT processes). Consults with other business units (eg application development groups, IT Support, etc.) to configure platforms for product installation. Documents enterprise processes and procedures. Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems management, security, operating systems, etc.) and reference models. Acts as subject matter expert (SME) for IT Support, as needed, for escalated support issues. Coordinates activities with internal technology owners/service providers Required Skills/Abilities Experience Bachelor’s degree in an IT field, in addition to three years applicable experience in a medium to large enterprise in the design/administration/support of one or more platforms OR Associate’s degree or industry certification in an applicable IT field, in addition to 3-5 years applicable experience in a medium to large enterprise in the design/administration/support of one or more platforms OR Five years equivalent applicable experience in a medium to large enterprise in in the design/administration/support of one or more platforms. Technical Expertise - Demonstrates a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in providing architecture, engineering and operations direction and support in a large enterprise, keeping up to date on technical developments and industry practices; specifically: Advanced knowledge of SCCM 2016, including the ability to do in-depth troubleshooting of complex issues. Deep understanding of task sequences, supporting mechanisms (MDOP) and in-depth knowledge on client-side Windows operating systems. (7, 10) Deep knowledge of application packaging methods. App-V Local Install Ability to package complex applications, for example: Supporting mid-installation reboots Ordering multiple dependency chains Writing global conditions for detection methods Optimizing installs to decrease installation time Intermediate skills in the following scripting languages: PowerShell VBScript AutoIT Working knowledge of: Active Directory and Group Policy Microsoft BitLocker Microsoft UEV vs. Roaming profiles Configuration Management engine (DCM) in SCCM 2016 Network analyzer tools (ie Wireshark) Windows performance monitoring tools Bonus Skills and Abilities Certification – Any of the following certifications: CompTIA A+ Server + Security + Project + Microsoft MOS 2016 (Specialist, Expert or Master) MCSA (Windows 7, Windows 10 or Office 365) MCSE (Productivity) AXELOS ITIL v3 Foundation Technical Expertise – Demonstrates experience administering the following systems: Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2016 / Online Microsoft Lync 2013 / Skype for Business 2015 / Online SharePoint 2013 / 2016 / Online Office 365 Company Description At Long’s, our people are our greatest asset.
