Provence Real Estate is a full-service property management company based in Atlanta, GA. We manage multi-family properties throughout the southeast. Our current portfolio is over 2,000 apartment units located in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Maintenance Technician Your experience and hands-on approach will be valuable as we rely on you to provide prompt, professional and courteous service of all resident service requests. You will assist the Service Manager in maintaining all physical aspects of the community and we will rely on you to ensure all work is performed according to Provence Real Estate policies and procedures, remaining aware of changes to policies, procedures, codes and guidelines. General Duties: Provide prompt, professional and courteous service of all resident service requests. Assist the Service Manager in maintaining all physical aspects of the community in accordance with the goals and objectives outlined in the approved business plan. Ensure that work is performed according to Provence Real Estate policies and procedure. Be aware of changes to policies, procedures, codes and guidelines. Responsibilities: Report to the Service Manager each morning, each evening and as required for work assignments. Complete service requests promptly and efficiently according to company policies and procedures. Inform Service Manager of low stock items or unavailable parts and supplies. Strictly observe Provence Real Estate policy relating to the handling of service requests. Assume emergency on-call duty when assigned. Report any needed repairs or unsafe conditions to the Service Manager. Inspect move-outs daily and update move-in dates daily as requested by the Service Manager. Perform all items on the Make Ready Checklist form. Perform other duties as outlined by the Service Manager. Attend all instructional classes conducted by the Service Manager. Attend all in-house training classes as required. Qualifications: Good communication/reading skills. Demonstrated dependability and consistency. Strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy. Ability to read and write the English language in order to communicate with customers and process company paperwork. Capability to work in inclement weather and wear back brace, photo ID and company attire (Provence Real Estate shirt, jacket, khaki pants and hat). Knowledge of general property operations including: HVAC, safety, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair and fireplaces. Ability to display balance/equilibrium at heights above 5 feet. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Dexterity to operate mechanical equipment. Own required tools. Own reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Carry cell phone and radio on-site at all times. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Ability to perform weekend and "on-call" requirements; must be in-town and available during scheduled "on-call" days. EPA certification will be necessary for HVAC service calls. Work Schedule: All full-time associates are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Part-time associates may not exceed 29 hours per week, unless approved by supervisor. Every company member must complete a weekly time sheet or on-line time clock system. The Maintenance Technician may be asked to provide backup emergency response even when they are not the primary "on-call" associate. This position requires weekend and holiday hours, depending upon the requirements of the community. Benefits: We value our employees' time and efforts.
