So what does a CEI Project Manager at Michael Baker International do?As a part of our Project Management Team, the CEI Project Manager will be responsible of Alabama CEI by being engaged in Design Build- Quality management. The CEI Project Manager will manage field supervisors providing direction to the inspection teams for the construction of highway and bridge projects primary for ALDOT. Can you walk me through a typical day of a CEI Project Manager? You will coordinate with the construction contractor, the owner, inspectors and stakeholders. You will oversee change order justifications, inspector performance, and resolution of construction issues. You will negotiate contracts with ALDOTYou will manage financial performance of the business and negotiate fees with design build contractors.You will be responsible for Marketing and business development oversight.You will Hire and build inspection staff for ALDOT projects.You will Mentor and develop junior CEI project managers. A CEI Project Manager will typically progress into a CEI Practice Leader, or Regional Manager. You'll need a 2 year degree in related field . You'll need 10 years of construction engineering management and inspection experience for transportation projects. . You'll need the ALDOT minimum experience for certification purposes under roadway and bridge construction inspection categories. .
