Electrical/Instrumentation Designer, he/she will be responsible for designing and preparing detailed engineering drawings for commercial and industrial electrical systems under the direction of an E and I Project Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Participate as a member of a project team for assigned commercial and industrial projects.
Produce engineering drawing packages per the clients specifications and project engineer instructions.
Work in conjunction with the project team to ensure E and I drawings are submitted according to the project schedule.
Communicate effectively with the project team and client representatives
Design electrical systems to ensure all components conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and client requirements.
Create bills of materials and specification documents for equipment procurement
Provide on:site support for project installation and startup as needed.
Complete as:built drawings from provided red:line drawings.
Responsible for system design elements including (but not limited to): power distribution system layout, single line diagram, motor control elementary, cable schedule, control panel layout, lighting, grounding, safety systems, conduit and cable tray systems, electrical equipment layout plan, control loop diagram, and equipment installation details.

Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Computer:Aided Drafting is required.
Minimum of 4 years of
Electrical/Instrumentation design experience with commercial and/or industrial facilities
Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC)
Highly motivated self:starter with a strong detail:oriented work style
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in an industrial facility and wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must be able to work in both independent and team environments
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of 3D modeling and laser scan tools is desirable
Ability to meet simultaneous project deadlines
Must be able to work in the U.S. for any employer
