Under the general direction of the Shop Lead, and in support of the Shop Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager, the Fabricator I is responsible for fabricating and assembling structural components as required, in the most economic, efficient, and effective way possible, and which meet the requirements of the drawing or engineering document and our customer's expectations.
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal and machined products
Cut and deburr metal parts
Deburring and Sanding of Composite parts
Positions, aligns and fits parts together
Assembles parts using screws/bolts, nuts/nutplates, washers and general hardware
Drill and countersinking metal parts
Install rivets using squeezing tools
Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications
Set up and operate manual and machine tools associated with fabricating shops

Carlisle IT Mobile is a clean facility housing different kinds of machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Experience within the Aerospace Industry with exposure to AS9100 and FAA regulations preferred
Outstanding organizational skills and experience with managing multiple deadlines at once
Strong technical skills including the ability to read and understand technical drawings
Proficient in communicating information to individuals and groups in both written and presentation form
Strong desire to work in a team made up of a cross functional group of individuals
Self-starter that is able to work extended hours as required to satisfy customer deadlines
A&P preferred
AutoCAD / 2D computer aided drawing preferred
Current Driver's License
Forklift Certification preferred
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
